flour-less chocolate almond cake/pastel de chocolate y almendras sin harina























right now i am in an "almond season". i feel like eating almonds most of the time and therefore the cakes i bake contain almonds as well. this chocolate almond cake is one of them. i found the original recipe here.
en este momento estoy en una "temporada de almendras". tengo ganas de comer las almendras todo el tiempo y por eso también los pasteles que hago contienen almendras. este pastel de chocolate y almendras es uno de ellos. aquí es donde encontré la receta original.

ingredients/ingredientes:

1 cup almonds/taza de almendras
200 g dark chocolate/chocolate amargo
1/2 cup brown sugar/azúcar mascabada
1/2 cup sugar/azúcar
7 egg whites/claras de huevo
pinch of salt/pizca de sal
















in a food processor chop finely chocolate, almonds, brown sugar and salt.
en un procesador de alimentos pica finamente el chocolate, las almendras, azúcar mascabada y sal.

















in a large bowl beat the egg whites until they change color into white. add the sugar and continue beating until they get stiff.
en un tazón grande bate las claras de huevo hasta que son blancas. agrega el azúcar y sigue batiendo hasta el punto de turrón.
















add one third of the chocolate almond mixture to the whisked egg whites and fold in gently with the spatula. repeat twice with the remaining two thirds of the dry ingredients.
añade una tercera parte de la mezcla de chocolate y almendras a las claras batidas y mezcla suavemente con espátula. repite dos veces con el resto de los ingredientes secos.
























grease lightly the pan and pour in the batter.
engrasa ligeramente el molde y vierte la mezcla adentro.













bake the cake in a preheated oven (175°C) for 20 to 30 minutes. let it cool down and enjoy :)
hornea el pastel en el horno precalentado (175°C) durante 20 a 30 minutos. dejalo enfriar y disfruta :)

  4. I'm thinking that one piece of that cake would be enough to send me in a chocolate-induced coma. Love how you've used a tart tin to bake the cake...it has such an elegant effect!
